A lifetime of making, measured in every scale.
Jim has spent his life in carpentry of nearly every kind—building furniture and toys, houses and large commercial buildings, and even the tiny bookshelf designed for a corner no ready-made solution could fit.
Now he has turned his attention to pieces that ask for a different pace: time, patience, and the willingness to stay with the wood long enough for its grain, weight, and character to make themselves known.
At the Curious Cottage, usefulness still matters. So do delight, imagination, and the quiet pleasure of making one thing well.
